As speculation grows around Titan X in Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2, one theory stands out: the creature may not be entirely new. Instead, it could be one of the unseen Titans first confirmed in Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
During KOTM’s end-credit news montage, multiple Titans were awakened across the globe but never fully shown on screen. Among them were Leviathan, Yamata no Orochi, and Typhon—names officially established within the Monsterverse canon, yet visually unexplored.
Reviving one of these dormant concepts as “Titan X” would be a strategic move, preserving continuity while deepening the mythology.
However, early impressions of Titan X suggest a biomechanical or plant-like design, which introduces two possibilities.
The creature could be a reinterpretation of an existing KOTM Titan, redesigned for narrative evolution. Alternatively, it may be a completely new organism retroactively integrated into Monarch’s classified archives.
With Michael Dougherty serving as consulting producer and safeguarding franchise continuity, a revival of a deep-cut KOTM Titan would be the most cohesive approach—especially as the series builds momentum toward Godzilla vs. Kong and the growing threat of Apex Cybernetics.
For now, the theory remains speculative—but within established canon, it is entirely plausible.
